Ukrainian startup “Petiole” in TOP 20
Petiole startup, founded by Ukrainian Andrey Seleznev, was in the top 20 of the brightest ideas of the year 2015 by the American business channel CNBC.

«Petiole monitors the dynamics of plant growth, using data on leaf surface area, helping to understand how a plant responds to a variety of factors (weather, fertilizer, etc.). It’s as smart tracker for the growth of plants,» — said on the CNBC website.Startup appears in the list under number 15.
Start-up appeared in October of last year. The idea originated in a time when one of the co-founders of the project, Vyacheslav Bykov, it was necessary to measure the area of chestnut sheet for one of research.Then it turned out that this process is very time consuming and requires a lot of time on traditional measurements, but specially prepared camera mobile phone can handle this task in seconds.
Outside investment in the project is not podupali, the startup works by the founders. The project was in incubation program Founders Space in San Francisco, but the creators failed to take part in it due to the fact that the team denied visas.The package includes Petiole mobile app special smartphone stand and plate for calibration and measurements.
At the moment, the team launched a website and gaining a beta testeri first user version of the application. Getting into the top-20 CNBC the project is ensured primarily that the Petiole is hardly the only startup working in this direction.
