RESULTS INTEL ISEF 2018
International Science and Technology Fair Intel (Intel ISEF) brings together the best young scientists demonstrating their talents on the international stage. This contest judges are professional scientists, many of which are recognized world leaders.
Each year about 1800 high school students from more than 75 countries, regions and territories the opportunity to showcase their independent research and development to win prizes Intel ISEF with a total value exceeding $ 5 million. The competition focuses on identifying, attracting and inspiring the next generation of STEM (STEM- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, is in science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
The format of the competition involves vidbirkoi stages 420 affiliated local competitions among students in grades 9-12 or appropriate educational equivalents winners are given the opportunity to test themselves and their scientific work in 22 different categories on a global scale.
Winners fairs Intel ISEF continue to be some of the most famous in the world of academic awards including a Nobel Prize, a prize breakthrough, three National Medal of Science and MacArthur Foundation Fellowship six. They take part in some of the most revolutionary research.

From Ukraine in the competition, held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, INTEL ISEF were presented works finalistiv- 6 winners of national stages of the competitions ECO INTEL INTEL TECHNO Ukraine and Ukraine.
This year, the Scientific Council contest INTEL ECO Ukraine has chosen three of which ended up in the following categories:
- In the category "Engineering protection of the environment" with the work of Anastasia Venchkovskoyi to offer a method of solving the problem of irrigation desert;
- In the category of "physical energy" with the work of Vladislav Kazakov, who proposed a method for the production and use of energy from stray currents land
- In the category "Translated medicine" with the work Salome Leno, who developed a dual neural networks for analysis and interpretation of electrocardiograms.
Evaluation is a jury INTEL ISEF, and more than 50 government and non government organizations and universities that give special rewards and incentives.
This year work Salome Leno, 11th grade student of Lviv educational complex "School I level - high school" received two special awards, namely the award of the Fund for the talent and creativity of the King Abdul-Aziz and his companions http://www.mawhiba.org.sa/EN/Pages/home.aspx
and special compensation from the National Center "Minor Academy of Sciences" under the auspices of UNESCO, which acted as an independent sponsor of this year's competition.
The strengths of our projects include originality of ideas and scientific thought, expressed in powerful and promising concepts and presentations.
Our weaknesses can be considered a lack of completeness criteria: Works presented at rozrobot and promising hypotheses, while the winners of INTEL ISEF is mostly concrete implementation of appropriate testing hypotheses and significant evidence base. It is necessary to strengthen the involvement of academic institutions and specialized institutions in the preparation stage finalists International Competition Intel ISEF and ensure proper awareness of the requirements of the competition for heads of research projects already on the national stage of selection.
